Cassette player
Description of the work
This work exhibits a cassette player where a cassette is presented, repeating over and over the same narrative all the time. It is broadcasting the stated message which reads: no radio station will be turned on, no programming frequency, nor will the cassette player be used for listening to music cassettes or CDs, in fact, the interpretation of any music is prohibited. “Only this multiplied message that is currently being broadcast will be heard from the tape recorder.”
Content
The speech is repeated all the time and is the only content that is broadcast from the exposed audio carrier. In the artwork, we use the cassette player as a finished product (ready-made) and the art exhibit itself emits an intrusive dialectic whose message forms the content of this dictatorial aesthetic concept.
